Representatives
Volition has developed a structure of voluntary sector representation across the city. The aims are:
- to promote the interests of the mental health voluntary sector with decision makers
- to keep the sector informed of developments and decisions of which they can and should be a part.
Volition is often the first port of call from statutory agencies seeking representation from the voluntary sector. We have worked hard to increase the pool of people involved, and have drawn on staff with particular expertise (for example, dual diagnosis, early intervention) for different groups. The Volition team also offer invaluable independent generic knowledge about the sector, and have played a significant part in many citywide planning groups.
The following is a list of representatives, this can change as new groups start meeting while other projects finish.
The voluntary sector is also represented in the broader health and social care arena through the Third Sector Health and Wellbeing Network representatives, some of whom are from Volition member organisations.
