Monday 19th June 2017, 10-12
Venue: One Community Centre, Cromwell Street, Lincoln Green, LS9 7SG .
Hosted by Ali, Leeds Refugee Forum and Chaired by Ruth, Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers, this informal event will create an opportunity for organisations in Leeds with an interest in asylum seekers and refugees to:
- Hear from services and build links with people working in the Refugee and Asylum sector
- Raise awareness of their service, share leaflets/posters and encourage referrals into projects, group work, volunteering opportunities and activities.
- Join in Refugee Week celebrations, enjoy a shared lunch and send a strong welcome message to asylum seekers and refugees living in Leeds using social media.
This is a really informal and friendly networking event which will have a ‘speed dating’ format. It’s aimed at wide range of organisations and services with different levels of experience of working with asylum seekers and refugees, some will have very little and others will be very used to working with this group.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book your place by Friday 9th June – please be aware that places are limited.
