What’s new around Volition?
Our newsletter has a fuller picture of what's happening in mental health in Leeds, and you can also visit our blog. Details from our weekly bulletins can be found below. The up and coming issues that we are working on include:
- There will be two information sharing workshops in March & April 2010 for Volition members with LPFT's Community Mental Health Service which will include making referrals, new team boundaries, key contacts and supporting people back into work. Places are limited, booking essential. Further information and flyer available to download.
- The Volition members' annual conference was held on 28 January 2010. Presentations from the conference are now available on the Events page of this website.
- Three training sessions in FACE Risk Assessment for voluntary sector workers working closely with Leeds PFT were held in January & February 2010.
- Community Links and Stop Hate UK, both Volition members, have launched a national campaign to promote reporting of mental health hate crime. A limited number of A3 posters are available from Volition, if you would like to display one in your workplace then please get in touch.
- Self Directed Support Forum for voluntary sector service providers, a partnership between Volition, Learning Disabilities Forum, Older People’s Forum and PSI Network.
Information for the voluntary sector about flu pandemic planning
Voluntary Action Leeds, Leeds Voice and Volition have been working with NHS Leeds to provide information about the swine flu pandemic for the voluntary sector.
