Dementia Information Event for BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) communities

As part of Dementia Awareness Week Touchstone in partnership with Reginald Centre and Feel Good Factor are holding an event for BAME people across the city.

Date: Thursday 18 May 9:30 am – 1:00 pm

Place: Reginald Centre, 263 Chapeltown Road, Leeds LS7 3EX

This is a free event to provide information You will hear from:

  • Tim Sanders, Integrated Commissioning and Transformation Manager, Dementia, NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) / Leeds City Council
  • Dr Manjit Purewal, Joint Medical Director, Leeds CCG
  • Dr. Sharon Nightingale, Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist and Associate Medical Director for Doctors in Training, Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
  • Jackie March, Chief Inspector, West Yorkshire Police

You will also have have the chance to find out about other services available for people with dementia and their carers/families, as well as:

  • Enjoying music and singing
  • Chair based exercise and other games
